Mena Alexandra (born in February 13th, 1979) is an actress and model from the USA. Her modeling career began in 1990 and soon moved to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. She debuted in the film industry in the 1997 documentary Nowhere. Her roles as a character in American Beauty, for which she earned a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie led to her being the subject of more interest. Since then she appeared on screen in Loser (2000) alongside her American Pie co-star Jason Biggs as well as later, she played the lead role in the comedy film Sugar & Spice (2001). Her appearances were in the independent 2002 drama Spun and the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she received a nomination as an Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008 she was included in a variety of films, including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the movie adaptation of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads to promote Lancome Paris Adaptive and was featured on numerous fashion blogs and magazines like Vogue. She has long been a supporter as well as an activist of the respected African relief organization, the African Medical and Research Foundation.
