Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23rd, 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. She began to work in the music business at a very young age. At the age 10, she won local competitions and made her first album. She signed to Rounder Records in 1985 and released her first single album, a solo one in the year 1987. The group she joined was who she still performs, Alison Krauss Union Station. The group released their debut album in 1989.
