Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on 16 April 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The father of her was Argentine with Scottish as well as English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. The Taylor-Joy family was the family comprised of six children. Four of her siblings are of the marriage that she had with Taylor's dad. They lived together in Buenos Aires from the time she was 6 years old until the time they moved to Victoria, London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she was unable to master English in hopes that she could return to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed in Northlands to Hill House. Then, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's plays. She left at the age of 16 to go to school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. Her dreams were realized when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
